Fallen Tree Lodge is located at the entrance of Eleven mile Canyon.  This portion of the South Platte river is fed from a Dam system holding back water from Eleven Mile Reservoir.  In the winter the top of the reservoir is frozen while the dam run off water is warm allowing the canyon great winter fly fishing opportunities.  In the Summer the inverse happens where the dam run off water is cooler allowing the Canyon great Summer time Fly Fishing Opportunities.
